What are the Longji Rice Terraces?
Longji Rice Terraces were originally built in the Yuan Dynasty (1271 – 1368), formed in the Ming Dynasty (1638 – 1644) and completely in early Qing Dynasty (1644 – 1912). Zhuang, Red Yao and Huangluoyao People have settled here for hundreds of years. Unconsciously, they create the stunning views for tourists as at the very beginning, the ancestors just meant to solve the basic life need through planting rice in the terraces.
